WINES
Production is based on a series of traditional winemaking processes that are currently considered state-of-the-art among the best wines, in particular fermentation in vats and French oak vats, with the highest standards of cellar hygiene. Depending on the vintage, we sometimes use very careful batonnage.
Some wines are aged in French oak barrels and all wines age in the bottle for at least one year before being released on the market.
In addition to the Portuguese tradition of blending, new choices have been made in recent years, such as the production of single-varietal wines – the Partage Collection (partager = sharing the best we have) – which are considered by some to be the most distinctive wines from the Portocarro estate.
